POSITION TITLE:        School Psychologist for 2019-2020 School Year
                                    (full-time; will consider part-time)                                 

QUALIFICATIONS:                          

• Graduate from a NASP approved university program in school psychology.  
• Minimum of master's degree with eligibility for TN educator endorsement in PreK-12 School Psychologist (489).
• Experience in the public school setting preferred.     

SALARY:  Compensation is negotiable based on experience and expertise.

REPORTS TO:              Special Education Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Teacher calendar days and benefits provided according to Board policy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Administer I.Q. tests, achievement tests, and other assessments required to determine eligibility for special services.
2. Provide written reports of assessment for student evaluations.
3. Collaborate with building and support staff throughout the district to meet the needs of students.
4. Make recommendations to the Special Education Supervisor concerning the need to obtain additional medical, psychological and/or psychiatric information on an evaluation.
5. Participate as an IEP team member with functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans and /or in the manifestation determination process.
6. Collaborate with outside agencies, parents and teachers to meet the need of students.
7. Review student records for the screening and evaluation process of student.
8. Other duties as assigned by the administration.
