POSITION TITLE: Middle School College and Career Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of bachelor’s degree with proper Tennessee endorsement in any area that includes grades 7 and 8.
REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Secondary Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Teachers- 10 month (200 days) with benefits
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Teach College and Career Readiness to students in grades 7-8.
- Follow selected and college and career curriculum.
- Explore various careers and requirements with students.

Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.

Diagnose and evaluates student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.

Effectively implement district initiatives.

Ability to collaborate with teachers regarding student learning.
- Desire to continue learning “what works” in classroom instruction.
- Other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education.
